The captain was very surprised to see this island and took out a map and said in surprise: "There is no island in this place on the map, I don't know where it came from.
Muhammad Ahmad Asif
My name is Sindhbad, but because of my frequent travels in the seas, people also call me Sindhbad Jahazi. The story of my first voyage is that my father passed away when I was 22 years old.
He was a good and God-fearing man. He was also the biggest businessman in his city. I inherited a lot of wealth. Because of this, I fell into luxury.
He used to sleep till dawn. Then he would get up and take a bath with rose water. He would wear expensive clothes and have a breakfast of fruits.
Seeing this condition of mine, many flattering and free-eating friends surrounded me.
Their purpose was to eat free bread by praising me day and night. I also paid the right of generosity and amassed wealth with both hands. Gradually I started getting richer and poorer. ۔
I was shocked at their infidelity.
Then one day I thought that it is not right to waste your wealth like this. If you sit at home and eat, then Qarun's treasure is also lost. It should run the house.
The next day I sold my belongings and left for Basra with my city port from other traders.
We were on our way to the Persian Gulf near the eastern islands. During the voyage, we landed at several ports, sold old goods, and bought new ones.
Everything was fine.
One day the weather was pleasant. Our ship was speeding along the chest of the sea. Suddenly a small island came in our way. We did not even know that something bad was going to happen to us.
The captain was very surprised to see this island and took out a map and looked at it in surprise and said in surprise: "There is no island in this place on the map, I don't know where it came from. Isn't this a magic island?" They laughed when they heard this.
The island was as wide as a playground and soft yellow grass was swaying on it.
The captain ordered the sailors: "Open the wind and bring the ship closer to the island." With permission. "
It was a big surprise for us.
About twenty passengers landed on the island and started walking here and there. The kebab was our favorite food. Two or four men unloaded firewood from the plane and started preparing to light a fire. Were
They had just started frying kebabs when the island started moving slowly. Then, as soon as we saw it, the island moved away from its place. After that, we felt a strong shock. Everyone thought that an earthquake was coming.
At that moment, the ship's captain's voice came: "Come back quickly or the fish will go back into the water; hurry up, hurry up."
“
Then we found out that what we think of as an island was a huge fish that came to the surface of the sea to bask in the sun.
Some of the passengers swam to the plane. Some of them started drowning in the middle and I was just behind the fish when the fish started dipping in the water.
It was a very strange sight. The fish was slowly going down in the waves and the water was rising all around me. No one had any illusion that it was not an island but a fish. I didn't understand anything else so I hurried. A piece of wood was seized from him and brought to the island for burning.
The last scene I saw was the noise of the sailors and the ship was drifting away from me. Take the wood in both your arms and close your eyes.
I used to be above the turtle waves sometimes down. After a few hours, it got dark and it started raining. I was in a bad condition due to my fear. I didn't know where I was talking all night. The land began to appear.
The waves slowly carried me to the shore and I lay face down on the wet sand. I was dying of cold, fatigue, and hunger. Some water had gone in my mouth too. When it got a little high, its rays created some heat in my body and I got up and sat down.
There was an island in front of me. I was so scared of what had happened the day before that I thought it might not be a fish either. There was nothing.
I was exhausted and weak, but I still had the courage to go ahead and quench my hunger with a few herbs. When he came to his senses, he started walking and surveying the island.
There was a meadow in the middle of the island where some Abyssinians were grazing horses.
Seeing me, they shouted slogans and ran towards me. These were four or five tall men with strong bodies. They were black and their teeth were white. They started talking to me in a foreign language. At first, I tried to answer with gestures when they did not understand. Annoyed, he said in Arabic: "Who are you?"
An old Abyssinian came forward and answered me in Arabic: "This is what we are asking you, who are you and how did you come to this island?"
I told them my whole story.
He treated me with great respect and went to his tent and fed me. Then he said: "Young man! Keep your heart strong. You are in the land of a merciful king. We are all his slaves and the royal horses here daily. We will bring you to the court.
The king will be very happy to see you. ”
Hearing this, my courage increased and the fear of past events vanished. I thanked them. In the evening they took me to the royal palace which was built in the middle of the population.
The next day he appeared before the king.
The king listened to my story and consoled me and said that you are my guest. Stay here as long as you want. Then the king ordered that I be taken care of as a royal guest. I was frustrated and sad all the time because what I had was lost and so was my family.
There was a port on the same island where merchant ships from all over the world used to come and go. The port was so big that it was always like a fair due to the crowds of people. One day at noon, a ship came to a halt.
The sailors anchored and began unloading the merchandise. The merchants received their wares and went to the warehouses. Suddenly I saw a few bundles with my name written in bold letters. I heard that he was giving orders to the sailors:
When I looked at the captain's form, I remembered that he was the one with whom I had started my journey. The journey was started by a peninsula fish separated from it.
The captain refused to believe me and said that when the fish dived into the water, Sinbad had drowned before our eyes.
I argued with him and told him many signs. Finally, he was satisfied and handed over my belongings to me.
I left my luggage there in the port warehouse and walked towards the royal palace. My bus would not run otherwise I would have flown to the king and told him that my merchandise had been found again by chance.
When the king heard this, he was glad and wished me well.
After that, I stayed on this island for a few more days, then with the permission of the king I left. He gave me presents and sent me away.
After that, I landed at several ports on the way. I sold my old goods and bought new ones. After a long time, I returned to my city.
When I reached home, the tribesmen welcomed me warmly and gave me a great feast.
I carried sandalwood, peacock and banyan jars, cloves, cinnamon, rose perfumes, camphor, gold and silver jewelry, silk and silkworms, and many other jewelry items.
All these goods were taken hand in hand in our city. I made a profit of about one lakh gold coins in trade.
I bought a garden and built a magnificent house in it. In this way, I started living a life of peace and tranquility. Soon I forgot all the troubles and sufferings of the past and started living happily ever after.
